Doonella is the newest housing estate in Noosa. Accessed via Sea Eagle Drive or via Swanborne Way/Shire Drive, blocks range in size from 600sqm through 900sqm. Commenced 10 years ago by Stockland on the shore of Lake Doonella, stage one commenced selling at around $400,000 a block. Several prize homes marked the entry to the estate that retained much of the forest around it.
With stages 2 and 3 now complete and direct NBN fibre to then home in these newer parts (2-3 years old), this is a very well located and built development.
There is a mix of architecturally designed homes and project homes, retirees and young families. Prices range from mid-$700s for a standard home to $1.2m for a designer home on a large lot.
With Noosaville State Primary School at the corner of Sea Eagle and Beckmans Road and St Teresa’s Catholic College (secondary) next door, children can walk to school and concrete paths wind through the forest for walking or cycling between neighbourhoods.
